  • You must be genuinely and actively seeking accommodation and treating this service with respect. Be honest and courteous with our staff and other users, provide accurate information in your profile, respond to all messages in a timely manner, and attend appointments or give the other party adequate notice.
  • Your first 30 introductions are free and you have the option to pay to continue when they expire. An "introduction" is a profile that's added to your Shortlist so you can make contact. They can be added by you, or by other users. When your 30 free introductions expire, you have the option to pay a fee to continue searching.
  • A placement fee is payable if you find accommodation through this service within 14-days of moving. It's your responsibility to notify Flatmate Finders if you find accommodation through this service and pay the placement fee within 14-days of moving. The fee ranges from $9.95 to $19.95, depending on the type of accommodation.
  • Your profile will be matched with people using other share accommodation websites in our network. Flatmate Finders has developed partnerships with other websites so you receive more matches. The name of the website is displayed at the top of each profile so you know the service they'll mention when they contact you.
  • Flatmate Finders doesn't take any responsibility for the accuracy of profiles or the actions of people. Flatmate Finders takes all care, but no responsibility for the accuracy of profiles and the actions of people. Access to this service can be denied if your profile is unsuitable for this service or complaints are made about you.
  • To prevent financial loss, never make a payment to people you haven't met or spoken to by phone. This golden rule will prevent you from losing money to scammers. It's free to create a profile, search our listings and view matching profiles, however your profile won't be visible to others until you've purchased a service period - it's your choice and there is no obligation to use this service.
