Howdy! I'm an American research quantum physicist back in Melbourne after a few years living in Kyoto and Toronto. I'm clean, organized, and value respect for personal space.
I spend workdays unraveling the secrets of the quantum computing, but the weekends are (mostly) math-free. I like all the standard stuff---good coffee, good food, good sake, good travels---and I'm into mushroom hunting, languages, fitness, running. I really like meeting and connecting with new people.
*note: I'm looking for a 5-6 month lease, as I'm returning to the US in April 2025*
Ideal setting: Sharehouse (open to other options, too)
Ideal move-in date: before 17 November
Ideal shower pressure: tropical storm
Budget: $300-400 (possibly more depending on the place)
I am hoping to find a household that's fun and engaging---I've been in sharehouses for the past 7 years. Some of my best times and best friends were with my "lockdown family" here in a big Carlton sharehouse. I enjoying creating a family atmosphere, so I would love to find people who socialize and have a good time together.
