About this person
I'm Matt. I've just moved to the Gippsland Lakes area from the Bass Coast to start a new job as a Ranger with Parks Victoria in Loch Sport. I also fly in to Mallacoota once a fortnight to work as a Speech Pathologist (weird combination of jobs, I know!). I'm looking for a place for me and my dog Fred who is a very friendly and well-behaved little Kelpie cross. He's very chilled and quiet and is great with other dogs. He'll be your best friend if you throw a ball for him. He sleeps outside unless the weather is terrible, but does love hanging out with his humans inside of an evening. I love running, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, surfing and camping so tend to be away a lot exploring when I'm not working. I have been living in share houses for most of my adult life and am very clean and tidy. When I'm home I love cooking (mostly) vegetarian food although I do eat meat. I'm always up for a chat and a glass of wine or a beer, but I also respect people's quiet time and privacy. My contract with Parks is until May but could be extended so I'm looking to stay for 6 months initially and see how it goes :)
Important personal qualities
I'm pretty easy to get along with and don't really have any preferences for my new housies. As long as you're fairly neat, clean and quiet and enjoy a friendly chat over a meal/beer/wine/orange juice now and then. BTW I cook a pretty good chili which I am willing to offer as a bribe for you to you pick me for a housemate. Just saying...
Food sharing and furniture
I have a bed and a few bits and pieces, but if the bed is already furnished then I'll just leave my stuff in storage. I generally cook for myself but am happy to cook the odd meal together if you like
Description of pets
I have a little Kelpie cross called Fred. He is very chilled and well-behaved. He's great with other dogs and will be your best mate if you throw a ball for him :)
