A good flatmate is someone you get along with and feel comfortable sharing a space with. Someone you can chat to after work about your day, maybe watch some TV together, enjoy dinner or a glass of wine now and then, but still have your own lives and do your own thing. Being clean, considerate, and respectful is also really important.
Food sharing and furniture
I LOVE sharing my food, but I don't mind if people don't share with me. Cooking for people is my love language so I'm always offering to cook meals for my housemates, and I don't expect it in return. It's just something I enjoy doing. I buy my own food and don't share groceries with housemates unless its discussed.
