The room is currently furnised with a single bed and desk. There isn't much in the way of shelving in the built in wardrobe unfortunately. The bathroom is your own but the washing machine is in it so I will need to use it from time to time.

Description of the home

A quiet 2 bedroom apartment in St Lucia. It features a decent sized living area with TV, couch, dining table, a fully equipped kitchen (without dishwasher), private courtyard area with BBQ, ceiling fans throughout, washing machine in flat and 2 bathrooms. The complex is gated and the private double garage is connected to the courtyard area within the gates. Being ground level the apartment remains cool even without aircon during summer.

The apartment is in a great location with a 10 minute walk to the front of UQ. There are bus stops going to UQ and to the city 50m from the flat, across the street. It is 5 minutes walk to Guyatt Park ferry terminal and 10-15minutes drive (depending on traffic) to Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and Toowong Village. There is a small local supermarket across the road and a few restaurants/take out places there too (incl. Dominos).

Bills and expenses

Hi, my name is Monique and I am 20 years old, the only occupant. I am currently a full time finance and economics student at UQ and tutor a family of 3 most weekday afternoons. I'm hoping to volunteer at the RSPCA, tbc. I'm a pretty chatty person and like to just catch up and hang out when suits. I enjoy cooking and am relatively tidy and clean. I like to be relatively active when I am motivated and am pretty serious about my education. I like to go out sometimes and have a friend or 2 over but I don't really drink and don't keep alcohol in the apartment (or other substances).
Compatible people
Someone who is considerate of their flatmate (i.e. understands boundaries, keeps excess noise to a minimum, respects exam periods and study times). Cleans up after themselves and is willing to organize when to clean the apartment together etc. Someone open to having chats every once in a while and speaks up when something isn't working for them. I'd like someone to be friends with and maybe share a meal or do something together everyone once in a while.
