Home Description

Description of the home

Hello folks, Whiley, Andreas and Liz here. Hoping this finds you well and looking for a lovely new home to live in. We’ve got one in the ever green and lush suburb of Fairfield. We need one more person to complete the Perry Street Palais and add to an already amazing home.

The boring but important stuff first. Rent is $795 a month for a medium sized room (3x3) in the Bungalow out back. You’ll be sharing the backyard oasis with the lovely Liz. Your room comes with its own ensuite and the bungalow has a peaceful communal area perfect for yoga, dancing, working or just chilling and chatting.

The house itself is huge! It comes with several communal areas including the living room, office space and the warm heart of the home our kitchen and dining area. The pantry and fridge are always filled with locally sourced, healthy and tasty produce which we use to regularly cook for each other and share meals. But you can always throw that special something together for your good self.

Out back with the bungalow is our garden, replete with fruit trees and the generously sized vegie patch. There’s some pumpkins happening, tomatos and kale but Andreas and I recently weeded and tidied that bad boy up so its ready for some new things to be planted. We have six chickens who, on occasion, roam freely around the yard but also have their own pen. They are an endless source of affection and entertainment.

We’re looking for someone who wants to contribute to making this place a home. We like spending time together over food, a film, a boardgame and the occasional party or get together. Having said that we all have our own thing going on and respect each other’s space. It’d probably suit the creative or outdoor type.

About the occupants
But who are we I hear you ask?

Elizabeth is an Outdoor Educator at a Steiner school and an Osteopath. She loves cooking, chasing chickens, backyard dancing and kayaking on Birrarung. She also busts it out on the mandolin.

Andreas is an Austrian medical engineer who has seen more of Melbourne on his bike than most born here. He is an avid bread making explorer and always keen on a round of footy or soccer then a cold beer afterwards. Believes chilli goes with everything and can never be too hot.

Whiley is an actor and writer who can be found dancing and getting his funk on in the kitchen. He will bend your ear on all things theatre, film and arts related. He also likes to climb, camp, hammock the shit out of a good book and recently picked up the guitar.

If this sounds like your jam drop us a message and we’ll get back to you if we feel you’re the right fit.
