Home Description
Description of the home
Bordering North Melbourne, Casa Kenso is 3kms from the City and short walking distance to 2 different train stops (takes 10 mins to get to the CBD or any major uni), so it's def easy to move around by bike and PT. There are also heaps of amazing cafes and restaurants in the area.
It's a brand-new development thats fully electric, energy-efficient and carbon-neutral in operations, with some slick amenities/views and a good sense of community. You could book community rooms for free if you got any events/guests (got some community yoga events going already), there is a basketball court, wood fired pizza-oven, unlimited edible veggie patches, a chicken coup for fresh eggs, and dog park/wash area in the rooftop. There is also a workshop with a bunch of tools in the building if you want to fix up something messy.
Apartment itself is well designed and 2B+2Br. I got all the furniture -including a full wall projector for movies and saloon level massage chair to chill out- so you just need your room's stuff, but I can be flexible with furnishings in the room if you wanted it to be fully furnished. We will split the bills (generally ~$60-$80pm inc internet.)
The room is 3 x 3m that fits comfortably a queen size bed and a small desk. And also got a massive full wall size built-in wardrobe.
Apartment is professionally managed, and I have got a 5-year lease with minimal rental increases, so if we vibe, you can stay as long as you want without having a shocking rent increase surprise.
Would be initially keen to get someone for up to 6 months to see if we vibe, but flexible with the length depending on your circumstances, since it's also a bit of mission to constantly look for a flatmate.
Due to my existing long lease arrangement, I'm only allowed to sublet, but would be happy to sign formal standard sublease contract for any type of legal protection.
More about me below, so let me know if you think you fit the bill and we can arrange a catch up.

After jumping onto the bandwagon of living solo post-pandemic, I have realised that I get bored living on my own, so my extra room -currently being used as home office- as well as a separate bathroom for your exclusive use is up for grabs in my 2B +2Br humble abode. Available now, place is brand new and fully furnished, so you just need to bring your own room's stuff, which I can also help you out with.
I'm in my early 30s working full-time (9-5) as a development/project manager to develop childcare centres and other social infrastructure for a Council, with a background in architecture/property/finance.
I also DJ with the stage name DJ El Jefe at some gigs and socially, making house, deep house, funky, groovy tunes depending on the time/vibe. So, I hope you dont mind occasional tunes.
If I was to briefly describe myself with cliché mottos, mines would be somewhere around 'less is more', and 'work hard, play hard, relax harder'.
I absolutely love all outdoor activities like camping, hiking, sailing, running as well as pilates, golf and squash. Love doing wholesome stuff, interested in anything arts/design/business related and a self-proclaimed wine guru.
Lived with housemates my entire adult life -except last year- (males, females and LGBTQ+) so perfectly house trained, fairly easy going and talk to, and fully aware of personal space. Have my own busy life but nonetheless would still like to have the ability to socialise with you on occasional basis ex: movie or boardgame nights, odd drinks, outdoors etc.
Love animals of all kinds (especially dogs, so bonus points if you got one) but allergic to cats (sadly) and drama (not so sadly).
