Home Description
Description of the home
Available from October 24th in the evening, rent is due on the 26th of each month, but I can be flexible with the moving in date for the successful new housemate.
My big pooch Harry and I are currently looking for a respectful, mindful, independent, preferably creative and tidy housemate, regardless of their gender or background. Open to couples. Open to pets, please keep in mind I am slightly allergic to cats and Harry is a big excitable playful dog, he's super friendly.
We would love to live with someone kind, sex positive (no SWERFs, no TERFs) and easy going. Ideally we would become friends and actually hang out socially. Definitely NOT into folks who spend their life in their bedroom after work. This home is full of love and I am sincerely looking forward to having someone move in who will love it as much as Harry and I do.
Please let me know a little bit about yourself, who you are, what you are into, your lifestyle, your work, dreams and goals for this year and finally what you are looking for in a housemate and share housing. It will go a long way before we schedule a viewing. And please be sure you also have an updated picture of yourself.
This is not a party house but I do enjoy the odd dinner party from time to time and late night front porch hangs especially in summer.
It is perfectly located, only a stone’s throw to cool bars and restaurants that gentrified Preston/Thornbury has to offer. Featuring hardwood floors throughout, kitchen with gas appliances and adjoining meals area, shower over bath and sadly not much cupboard space but after 4 years living here I'm well organised, washing machine-dryer, medium size living area, reverse cycle heating and cooling. When not cooking up a storm, I tend to hang most in the music room and front porch. This house has a lovely and cute private front yard with enough ground to grow plenty of herbs and veggies. Extra points if you have a green thumb!
No garage. Free parking on the Street.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I am only offering a 3 months trial period at first to see if we are a good fit. It is essential to me that we get along and live harmoniously. Rent will be $1,200 pcm + $400 security.
After this trial period and we get along handsomely, we can negotiate if you’d like to go on the lease or not. If you wish to do so, you will have to apply officially, pay $1,300 bond (minus the $400 security deposit) and $150 tenant transfer fee. After this trial period your rent will be $1,130 pcm, split even.

I am a musician & artist. I sing and play guitar & perform semi-regularly around town either with my band or on my own.
I am also the state manager for a sustainable-artificial flowers rental company working Tuesday to Friday (9am-5pm) mainly catering for age care centres and hospitals which allows me the privilege to drive all around our great state.
I have studied Fine Arts and graduated from COFA in Sydney. I am self caring, gentle yet exuberant and I love cooking!
I enjoy obscure movies, reading and time out at the beach on warmer days as well as seeing art, theatre and live music, supporting Melbourne's incredibly thriving art and music scene. Music is my passion.
This year I am looking into furthering my music career with my rock band and planning to travel to Europe in 2025. I play guitar quietly at home, most likely on the front porch with an acoustic, I rehearse with my heavy band at a studio nearby. Super respectful of my lovely neighbours and my housemate(s).
I long to find someone who will add to this delightful little house and become "family".... Definitely not looking for a "room mate", definitely not someone who "enjoys a wine from time to time" and actually never hangs out. This gorgeous quirky little house being a rather quaint intimate space, it is essential that we cohabit harmoniously, I wish to live with someone who wishes to create an inviting and friendly home and, overtime, we grow into friends/house partners.
