Home Description

Description of the home

The house

This three-bedroom house is a beauty. It has dark timber floorboards, a spacious open kitchen and a comfy lounge room that leads onto an alfresco courtyard and a back garden fitted with a bbq entertaining area! We have all the amenities: washing machine, dishwasher, gas stovetop, ducted heating throughout the house and a split system in the lounge. And a bathtub in the main bathroom! There is also a little back shed for storage and lovely little garden brimming with veggie patch potential.

The location
Our home is in a lovely leafy pocket of Thornbury. Amazing location, approximately 15 minute walk to Croxton train station and a 10 minute walk to Northcote High street meaning you'll have some of the best food and gig options at your doorstep!
We also have one of the best cafes on the Northside literally across from the house, which is almost too convenient, and creates a lovely neighbourhood atmosphere.

About the occupants
Donna - early 30s, social worker (Monday to Friday 9-5, currently working from home). Enjoys keeping fit, sharing good food, wine and times with friends. Loves a gig and is usually up for all kinds of social outings.

Lois - early 30s, works as a bartender and is going back to uni next year to study speech pathology. Enjoys catching up with friends, gigs, trivia and a good boogie, but also quiet nights in reading, cooking or attempting to knit and crochet!

We are both sociable people and up for chats, having dinners together, a wine and a laugh, whilst also being respectful of each other's own space and personal downtime.
Compatible people
We're on the lookout for a long-term housemate who is reliable in terms of paying rent and bills on time. Our ideal housemate is keen to create a lovely home atmosphere, easy-going, reasonably house-proud, and up for a drink and a chat, but will also have their own things going on.
