Hi, my name is Mel and I have been told I am easy to get along with. I lean towards being a little extroverted but I am not much of a party animal, I am afraid. I have an office job and work from home 2 days a week. Other than that, I love music, especially jazz. Also appreciate classical music and pop. Ok, I like a lot of different music and I play piano. I have an electronic keyboard and I practise a LOT(!) I am happy to practice with my headphones on as I do that a lot. I would like to practise 30-60 mins per day, most days without headphones. I play a mixture of 80s love songs, middle of the road pop, a little jazz, rock and funk. I take my music seriously so hoping to be with somebody that enjoys music otherwise you may go crazy ha ha…. I am happy to practise in my room a couple of times a week too. I’ve played with bands so I am a part-time gigging musician (on a 6-month break). I like cooking if I get a chance but prefer to just cook for myself as I am very busy. I have good social skills however when I come home after a long day, I generally say “Hi’ and happy to chat for a short while but I will normally retire to my room or play piano. I am probably keep more to myself during the week but I never get in a bad mood. Prior to Covid, I used to go out a lot, mainly in the cbd but my habits have changed and my life is about music and friends. I love watching “Neighbours” which is embarrassing (and I usually watch it in my room), I am fairly neat and tidy, I have a big TV and although my place is a little small, I would like for it to be cozy and welcoming. I can’t offer a separate bathroom (but I would if I had one!) I like Chardonnay and red wine and a good chat over a drink and music in the background. I don’t mind a little heavy metal (If you wanna play it) but I’m generally into Stan Getz, 60’s Latin jazz, Michael Buble, Lionel Ritchie, Billy Joel and Elton John. I was an 80’s teenager. I tried to study law but it’s not me. I’ve tried different things and settled on the black arts - project management. I don’t really have any rules - I guess as long as you don’t mind cleaning up after yourself, I’m pretty flexible.

If you clean up after yourself, that would make me very happy. I wouldn’t mind having a night to myself once a week but I would do the same for you too. I appreciate somebody that doesn’t slam doors or yells - I value mutual respect.

I don’t have pets but I love animals - I can get asthma so as long as place is kept clean and vacuumed for pet hair, I am fine with it.
