Home Description

Description of the home

*Dog lovers should continue reading only*! This 3-level west-facing terrace house looks out over Pyrmont St and…The Star. It boasts an open plan lower floor with a glass ceiling to let sunlight in through the hallway from the living, dining and lounge areas to the kitchen with gas stove and oven, and past a shared spacious bathroom. Thé kitchen’s French doors open out to an intimate sunny quite private courtyard with clothesline, shed and outdoor laundry. The other outdoor space is a bit more public looking over the street and good for entertaining (we have a BBQ) as the lounge area spills onto this. Floorboards throughout. Bedrooms abound up the stairs. Your room we affectionately dubbed the red room for its quaint red stain glass French doors.

About the occupants
Kate is an arts administrator, 34 years old, working part-time as a projects and programs manager in a dance organisation and leads an active lifestyle, walking Pumba (a 6 year-old Malamute x Husky) twice a day, dancing as much as possible and going to the theatre.

Michael and Alisa are a couple also in their mid-30s. Michael is a music teacher, and jazz connoisseur. Alisa is a disability support worker. Both train and walk Ruby (a 9-month-old Cavoodle x Beagle) through the quiet streets of Pyrmont.

We enjoy eating together a couple of times a week either staying in or going to a local pub and sharing a bottle of wine or some beer. We clean twice a week at least because, dogs and are all up pretty easygoing folks.
Compatible people
I would say we value going with the flow, being reliable and being kind or generous :)
Description of pets
Pumba is a big sook. Sleeps all day, gets walks from Kate twice a day and LOVES kids especially babies and toddlers. He is a big fella and likes to curl up under a table or in a corner when at home. He lives on the lower floor with no access to upstairs areas.

Ruby is a cutie. She has graduated from many a puppy school with flying colours and continues to impress with tricks such as the now famous 'mere cat' posture. She honours top dog aka King Pumba with humble licks and welcomes visitors, with a furious wag of her tail and joyful though subtle squeals of delight.
