Home Description

Description of the home

Hey!

We're looking for a friendly and clean housemate to take up the best room in our modern 3-bed house.

We're also happy to do video tours for people interested in sharehousing with us!

Here's what's awesome about the house:
-Spacious upstairs lounge and dining area
-Awesome size kitchen with 5-burner gas stove and dishwasher
-Good quality 55-inch Smart TV and Soundbar you'd get to enjoy, with Netflix, Kayo and Chromecast
-Big north-facing balcony which lets in a lot of natural light during the day, plus we've got outdoor seats and a BBQ
-Every room and living area has air-conditioning
-Toilets available upstairs and downstairs

Here's why you should choose Sandown Road:
-Only 200m away from the 57 tram, Coles and First Choice
-Only 1km away from Union road where there are lots of awesome cafes, bars and restaurants
-Ascot vale leisure centre and many gyms are available in the area
-Near Maribyrnong river and Flemington Racecourse, which are both great for walks

Other bits:
-2x parking spots. 1 in the garage, one in the driveway.
-There is a small outside court-yard used for hanging laundry and storing our bins.

Home features

  • Air-conditioning
  • Living area heating

Bills and expenses

Everyone splits bills for:

-Electricity

We also take turns buying cleaning supplies and share some cooking supplies too :).

Our gas/water/electricity bills are honestly pretty cheap because we're all sensible :)

As for food, we all do our own cooking. We also take turns buying shared household cleaning and maintenance supplies when they're needed.

We pay our own bills for streaming services but log in and share them with each other on the Smart TV in the lounge :).

About the occupants
Hey! I'm Evagoras (M26) and I'm an easy going extrovert who loves a chat but won't talk your ear off. I'm a high-school teacher with a huge passion for my work, but in my down time you'll find me playing games, watching sport, geeking out with tech and trying out the latest flavours of beer, cheese or wine (sometimes all 3 haha). I'm the housemate who'll be happy to see you around the house for a chat, but I'm also pretty content doing my own things most of the time. Living with me means you'd also get to meet my partner and her gorgeous cocker-spaniel pup who's the BEST boy hehe. In non-covid times, I love having mates around on the weekend for a few drinks and having a laugh.

Your other housemate will be Rob (M28)! He's originally from New Zealand, but lived in Adelaide for 8 years and Melbourne for 4 years. He works full time as an engineer in the CBD. Rob's happy keeping to himself, but is a great housemate who's always friendly, and helps look after the house.
Compatible people
In our house, we're all responsible adults who clean up after ourselves. We chip in to help keep the house clean and use effective communication to delegate who should do what chore :).

During the week, we're a quiet 9-5 working house, so we're ideally looking for someone that's working full-time, or studying. Weekends are pretty chill though and that's when the house gets more lively!

We're LGBTQI+ friendly and welcoming of anyone who is friendly, respectful and neat. People with pets are also welcome to message.
