Home Description
Description of the home
Our townhouse has a fantastic set up with loads of communal living spaces. It’s mostly furnished but if you do have any furniture let’s chat about it. Downstairs has a large lounge room, modern and spacious kitchen with gas stove and dishwasher, dining room and a laundry with a separate toilet. The dining room opens onto a balcony that looks out on leafy surrounds. The lounge-room opens onto a front courtyard. The bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs. We have a double carport and driveway. There’s also plenty of free street parking.
The location is excellent: 20-25min walk or 10 min ride to city centre and we’re a stone’s throw from the O’Connor shops.

Bills and expenses
Water is included in rent but electricity, gas and Internet will be split evenly. Internet is $20 each a month. Electricity and gas fluctuate but as a guide we paid about $200 each for the winter quarter last year for both gas and electricity and that was the most expensive quarter. Other household essentials such as toilet paper, cleaning products ect. will be split evenly on an as need basis.

Brad and I are both pretty busy and out a lot, so our home is fairly quiet and a bit of a chill out zone when we’re home. We all do our own thing most of the time. However, we’re always up for a glass of wine, the odd meal together and Game of Thrones Mondays (alas we have to wait until 2019). We sometimes have people around for dinner/drinks and friends are always welcome to visit. We’re always up for meeting new people.
Brad and I are both 29 and public servants (pretty standard for Canberra). I am a massive foodie and you can usually find me in the kitchen trying out some new recipe or in the lounge with my nose in a cookbook and Brad checking out the latest shows on Netflix.
