Description of the home

Hi there,

We are two friends, Jeanii and Ben. We've lived together for a number of years but are not a couple. We live in a nice three bedroom, two bathroom, two-storey funky and modern house in North Perth. The house is furnished and well-equipped with all the gadgets that you need.

The house is in a very convenient location. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of Leederville (and the train station), a 10-15 minute walk to the Rosemount pub and there's an oval across the road. We're a five minute walk from Beatty Park Aquatic Centre, the Loftus Community/Recreation Centre and library. Close to Mount Hawthorn, buses to the city or to Scarborough Beach. Everything you need is within walking distance :-)

There isn't much of a garden (we like it that way as we don't really have green thumbs!). There is a courtyard with a comfy outdoor setting and a bbq. We have a garage available for some storage.

Downstairs: Kitchen, laundry, toilet, dining area, lounge area, main bedroom.
Upstairs: Bathroom, toilet, two bedrooms (one available), one lounge-room, one study used for by housemate as an office.

Bills and expenses

We split the electricity, gas, internet/phone and water bills evenly. The rent is paid fortnightly.

We also get a cleaner every month or so and split the cost. We do clean, we just like it doing thoroughly every now and then, particularly before rent inspections.

We generally organise our own meals/grocery shopping but share the occasional one. The kitchen is well stocked with most gadgets if you like to cook. One housemate is vegan, though not preachy or weird about it (definitely no picketing of farmyards!) The other is a bonafide omni but doesn't really cook that much.
