About the occupants
We are Sophia, Em, Ben and Chris – all 25-35 young professionals. We are looking for a housemate who will fit our friendly vibe, and wants to contribute to a fun, social and supportive environment. We come together for dinner sometimes, often chat in the kitchen while making dinner, but also have independent lives and do our own thing. We like the throwing house parties, and having mates over for dinner, movies, BBQs, boardgames, to watch the football, poker nights, or to do craft things.

Chris is new to Canberra after moving up from Melbourne about a month ago and much to his continued joy, Canberra is a pretty sweet place to live! He enjoys all sorts of slow cooking food, eating out, wine, recently started playing mixed netball, trivia, keeping active (riding/boxing/running etc.) and socialising as much as possible. Chris works for the man as a management consultant after having a mid-to-late twenties crisis and deciding that he wanted out of working in the construction industry in project management.

Em and Ben are a couple. Em likes lots of yoga, cooking salads and baking cookies, picking flowers, volunteering, dancing, and watching Netflix while knitting. Ben likes White Russians, playing basketball, cooking carrot cakes and curries, has an excellent party play list that includes lots of Mowtown and thinks most things in life can be relatable to some episode of the Simpsons or Seinfeld. He’s been watching an awful lot of Stranger Things and the Get Down lately for someone who thinks the revolution will not be televised. Em and Ben are originally from Melbourne-town - before we were public servants Ben was a union rep and Em worked in the arts. We have come to love Canberran icons like the Polish Club, Molly, Smiths, Phoenix, the Rochford, Knighty, Epic markets, walks up Mt Ainslee and runs around the lake.

Soph has been in Canberra for a few years but originally from Sydney. She likes dancing, skiing, socialising, trashy tv and politics. She likes cooking, but enjoys eating out even more. She thinks salted caramel is the best invention ever. Favourite meal is brunch. Fav movie is pulp fiction.
