The bedroom is based at the front of the house. It is a medium sized room which can fit a queen bed. It has a built in wardrobe. The hallway also has a lot of storage in regards to more built in wardrobes. It has central heating and a carpeted floor. Windows have wooden blinds.

The room is unfurnished so you would need to get your own bedroom furniture but other than that the house is fully furnished.

Description of the home

Hi my name is Heather and we have a room to rent in our lovely Torquay house. Courtney is our other housie.

Our house is not too far from Fishermans beach and is 10 mins away from the new local shops. It is also not too far to the main village shops in Torquay. The room is unfurnished so you would need to get your own bedroom furniture but other than that the house is fully furnished.

The house itself is open plan, ace kitchen and living room area that look out onto the garden which is quite large. There are fitted wardrobes in the room itself and also lots of storage in the hallway. The bathroom has a bath and shower. We pay for a gardener every 4-6 weeks depending on the time of year and we have a cleaner every two weeks which you can choose to contribute to if you wish.

Bills and expenses

We pay for a gardener every 4-6 weeks depending on the time of year. We have a cleaner every two weeks. They clean all the general purpose areas such as the kitchen, living room, laundry room and bathroom.
We have Telstra internet as well.
We pay rent every 2 weeks which is $284.

About the occupants
I am Heather, originally from the UK but have been living here for the last 7 years, so class myself as an almost Ozzie. I am 35 and I am an Art and Graphic Design secondary school teacher. As a teacher I obviously work term times and have school holidays off. I am pretty passionate and committed to my job so sometimes will be doing work at home. When I am off in the holidays I usually use this time to travel, be creative, read, listen to music or rest at home, catch up with friends/boyfriend. I go to yoga during the week. I enjoy going out at weekends but also like chilling at home too.

Courtney - I am Courtney, I am a country girl and like to surf. I have doe a fair bit of traveling so like adventures, meeting new people etc. I used to work as a nurse but have a had a career change and I am studying Digital Media - something more creative. I like music and do a fair bit of yoga too.

We are looking for a considerate easy going housemate who is positive and has good communication skills. We believe in always discussing any issues - I'm personally not a fan of passive aggressiveness. I believe that your home is where you should feel most comfortable and we have a cosy, homey space that we care for and we would ask the same of our potential housemate. Description of pets
I have a ginger tom cat - embarrassingly his name is fatso - its a nickname that just stuck. Fatso is a bit of an introvert, he is friendly but takes a little time to warm to new people. He will probably just sit in my room.
