Home Description
Description of the home
The apartment is located on the 2nd floor of the Observatory Living complex with lift access. All rooms (except for bathrooms and laundry) have been freshly painted less than 6 months ago and the living space has been decorated tastefully and not cluttered.
You will have exclusive use of the main bathroom, I have an ensuite off my room. The bathroom, like the shower, is rather enormous. Being tall, I have a special appreciation for this. So if you're into shower yoga, this is the place for you. The apartment has a large internal laundry, yes, an actual laundry, with a door.
The apartment is carpeted throughout and is fully furnished except for the available bedroom... and the balcony, the balcony is lacking... well everything one would put on a balcony. I do have a BBQ though, so the important things are covered. There is a good amount of storage in the apartment with loads of cupboard space for linen etc. There is also a storage unit in the garage which has some space in it if you need. Visitor and street parking is readily available.
About the complex:
The Observatory was built with community in mind. The gardens stretching between all 7 buildings were designed by Jaime Durie to encourage use of the outdoors. There’s an exercise circuit, two firepits, multiple BBQ areas, fruit trees and a huge pool which is so funky it’s been used in a photo shoot for a local magazine. There are bus stops nearby, and access to the Parkway and Coulter Drive (Belconnen) couldn’t be better.

Bills and expenses
Bills are pretty standard for a unit, and are split evenly. I currently have high speed NBN connected with enough data to cover two people, wifi works out at $40 each (split 50/50) per month.
There is a tandem car park in the garage which isn’t ideal for 2 cars, but would be fine if you had a motorcycle, my motorbike is stored in the spare space in front of my car. If by chance you have a motorbike, it would be an additional $10/week to secure it in the car park. If the car space (currently occupied by my car) is required, I could be negotiated out of it. Car space would be worth $30/week.

I’m tidy and like to keep the place clean but I’m not obsessive, I would just expect my housemate to respect my home as if it were their own and to clean up after themselves.
