Home Description

Description of the home

THE HOUSE
Large unfurnished bedroom available in a 3BR unit.
The unit is bright and modern (4 years old) with ducted heating and split system A/C, dishwasher, separate toilet, and is set up with all the necessary furniture and appliances. The two things visitors tend to remark on most often is the size of the kitchen and the amount of natural light throughout the house.
There’s a courtyard out the back with outdoor furniture set up and a small veggie patch which, let’s be straight up, I am hopeless at maintaining.
Located on a quiet street with plenty of on-street parking available.

THE LOCATION
2 min walk: Selwyn Park. Home to everything from yoga classes at the Community Centre, tennis courts, exercise equipment, soccer and cricket teams, BBQs, etc. There are walking/running/cycling tracks behind the Park along the Kororoit Creek River.
5 minutes walk: Bus stop; a hipster café; Polish deli with excellent cakes and doughnuts; a convenience store/bottle shop
11 minutes walk: Albion train station (Sunbury/Watergardens line)
15 minutes walk: Sunshine! Cinemas, restaurants, supermarkets, the train station, etc.

About the occupants
Friendly and easy going, I work 9-5 in a public library and am studying part-time so that tends to take up the majority of my time. Most of my socialising revolves around dinners out and going to gigs/movies/theatre so I tend to keep home a quieter space but do host the odd movie night or dinner party with friends.

I like to keep the house tidy though not to the point of having to slave or obsess over cleaning.
Compatible people
Looking for a housemate with an active, full life but who wants a relaxed, tidy, friendly place to come home to.
Description of pets
You would also be sharing the house with my two kittens, George and Rosalita, who won’t say no to the occasional neck scratch or chase of the ball but are pretty happy to keep to themselves.
