Description of the home
I have a private room available for in a lovely townhouse. The location is amazing (in my opinion). Positioned right on the edge of Kew, but just around the corner is Richmond and IKEA, down the road is Abbotsford and Collingwood, and up the street you'll get on the Eastern Freeway. There is a bus stop out the front that goes down from Kew to Victoria Park train station.
The room is for 1 person only. No couples.
There are two bedrooms that you can choose from, which are pictured. The smaller room is 2.55m x 3.45m. The larger one is 3.7m x 2.5m but doesn't have air-con and has a bi-fold door. It'll be easier to understand when you come to see the house in person. The one you don't choose will become a spare room which is great for having guests stay over. You can use the cupboards in both rooms and set up a study if you'd like.
All of the furniture in the living room is a bit old and out-dated. I'd love for you to bring your own furniture if you have any and I can remove what we don't need.
Other features of the townhouse are:
- Modern kitchen with new-ish appliances, including a coffee machine!
- Huge, light-filled, shared bathroom with double basin vanity, shower, and bath tub.
- Additional powder room (toilet) downstairs.
- Separate laundry room. Such a luxury!
- Private courtyard. It's a bit sad looking at the moment, I try to grow things, but I'm not too successful, so go for gold with it if you're a green thumb!
- Off street parking permit available.
- In a small lot of 6 townhouses.
I have been living in this rental for 10 years with my current housemate, who is moving out to live with her partner. It's a lovely townhouse and I have a great relationship with the landlords.
18 month lease, so I'm looking for someone who would like to stick around long term.

I am an Architectural Consultant and for work I run architectural training courses. I work from home the days that I am not teaching, plus I travel to Sydney for three nights once a month, and twice every three months.
My passion is squash (the sport, not the vegetable!). I would normally play 5 times a week, but I am recovering from knee surgery, so I spend more time at the physio and the gym doing rehab than at the squash courts at the moment.
I am a creative person, I like to go to art galleries, and I sometimes paint and draw when I make time for it. I like textile and surface pattern designs, and I've had an idea brewing in my mind lately for block/lino printing, so I'm sure that'll be something I'll be working on sometime soon. You can join in if that's something you'd like to do!
This is a chill house, so I’d like to find someone who isn’t out partying and clubbing every weekend. I think I’m too old for that now!
