Coochiemudlo Island

Description of the home

Welcome to Balimudlo, our modest 2 bedroom, Bali-style island home. Featuring a huge covered deck for indoor/outdoor living surrounded by lush tropical gardens and enclosed within a privacy fence, so the whole place is very private, green and tranquil.

We have a small Shitzu Maltese x Toy Poodle that needs company when we're at work. So ideally we're looking for someone who is very reliable and responsible, an absolute dog-lover, perhaps with a small dog of their own, and in a situation where they are happy to be around the home a lot of the time but especially when we are at work. A retired person, mature age student, or someone who has a stay-at-home lifestyle job or business would be ideal. The room rent is low to reflect that we are seeking someone who can meet these special conditions. We are negotiable up or down to customize depending on the individual's circumstances. The main thing is we need someone who can be at home when we are at work and who can work with us on that as our shifts vary week to week.

Our home is located on a tiny island with about 600 people, surrounded on 3 of 4 sides by beautiful white sand beaches, all within 300-700m walk of our house. There are no shops on the island but there is a restaurant, a cafe and a beach bar. Its got a real holiday vibe but is only 5 minutes ferry ride from Victoria Point where there are large shopping centres. The island is tiny, no need for a car. Most people park on the mainland and take the half hourly passenger ferry, though an hourly car barge is also available.
