About this person
Hi, I’m Alec I’m currently studying cert 2 in animal care at TAFE and am hoping to get a job working with animals in the future. I am also an NDIS participant and have support workers help me with tasks such as shopping, meal prepping and cleaning to make my life more manageable. DSP is currently my main form of income but in the future I’m hoping to get a job and work a few days a week or continue my study at tafe. I’m fairly independent and can clean and cook fairly well for myself, I would like to be in an inclusive environment as I am a transgender man and have had a not ideal housing situation in an all male boarding house in the past where I was harassed for my identity and had to move out and stay with family temporarily. Important personal qualities
I would enjoy living with all sorts of people as long as they are respectful of boundaries and privacy, I am pretty sociable once I get to know you but a bit shy at first, I’m happy to do shopping and make communal meals for people I’m living with and of course help keep the house clean and tidy and clean up after myself, will also be happy to help with any jobs and chores that need to be done. I have some friends that I will go and hangout with when I have the time but other then that I’m more of a home body and like to relax at home or do some sewing or craft activities.
Food sharing and furniture
I have no special dietary requirements and am happy to share food and make food for the people I’m living with on occasional but most of the time I try to make and shop for my own food for myself.
Description of pets
The only pet I have is a small betta fish (fighting fish) named eclipse he is in a 20L fish tank with a few cleaner fish and a snail, with a planted tank.
