Private bedroom
- Own bathroom
- Wardrobe or rack
- Air-conditioner
- Desk available
- Good view or outlook
- The building's caretaker is super nice and helps out. He's helped replace faulty lights, repaired my shower head, changed batteries for smoke alarms, etc.
- ☀️Sunlight! There's a huge window in the room and I wake up to the sun every day.
- So many cheap eats and amazing hidden gems around Carlton. I've got a great list for all kinds of cuisines and places with student discounts
- Carlton is a generally quiet neighbourhood. You might often hear people downstairs at the Dominos, but never late at night.
- Did I mention you're like right next to UniMelb? It's insane! (Close to RMIT too)
❌ Cons
- Communal coin-operated laundry and drying machines. However, I've got some tricks up my sleeve for this ;)
- TV kinda sucks, it's pretty old and small. I've practically stopped using it and just use Switch and Steam Deck on the bed / couch
- No oven or dish washer. It can be a dealbreaker for some, but it is what it is.

I've lived here for 1.5 years and it has been absolutely lovely for uni life. Every time I have people over, they can't believe I'm only paying $425/week for the place. The desk is absolutely MASSIVE, I can wake up 10 minutes before classes, and Carlton is an amazing neighbourhood full of student-friendly restaurants and hidden gems. I'd highly recommend getting a bicycle and cycling all around the area.
