Hi I'm Jon.
Our household is breaking up after 3.5 years as the owner is selling the property which is a drag but, he’s been a great landlord.
Currently DSP due to arthritis issues, so when outside the house I get around on a cane - but apart from that assisting my walking I'm perfectly capable and mobile in everyday life. I work part time on various projects. Coming up are projects with Harper Collins and the Tate Modern. Sometimes I write, sometimes I design, sometimes public Art, whatever is offered.
I am very clean and very tidy. Can also offer utilities discount. Love cats so if you have one that's a plus!
Have a clean background check and can provide references, from my landlord/agency/ housemate.
Stuff from my last apartment is still in storage since the pandemic so travelling light and minimalist with more or less just single bed, table, chair laptop and some clothes.
I spend most of my time working in solitude so while I am not anti-social I am quiet and unobtrusive. I like company and socialising I just don't do it often and when I do it’s usually Arts events like gallery openings or a dinner out with friends.
I'd probably get on best with someone in a creative/academic field who can entertain themselves for the most part, and is a fairly straight forward communicator about what they require from living arrangements. I'm MYOB and have a policy of being respectful about people's personal business unless they choose to share, and vice versa.
I tend to gravitate towards people in a more mature age bracket, 40s and older who are cultured and broad-minded in outlook but also have a weird/dry sense of humour. I don't drink or smoke and but if others do (in reasonable moderation) I’m not bothered.
PS Important: I am interested in co-tenanting or sub-letting only if you are the actual property owner; or if you are not, have advance permission in writing from the landlord as per VIC tenancy law. I am not willing to participate unless an approved application is in place ahead of moving-in date as I have been burned on this issue before.

Description of pets
Adore cats and like dogs. Currently par-baby sitter for a simultaneously grouchy AND affectionate cat; before that I was lodging in the Macedons with an amazingly friendly and obedient canine whom I walk most days for the owners.
