I’m 54 and unfortunately came out of a long term relationship where I wasn’t on the lease, but paying rent to my ex partner. I then had to care for a family member and was unable to work. I am currently studying to be an occupational therapist, but I am financially stable. I have house shared with someone for two and a half years but my housemate has become increasingly controlling and emotionally abusive. Therefore Cocoa (my Chihuahua), Gregory Peck (my parrot) and I are seeking a safe and friendly home. I’m specifically applying here because I generally find LBTQIA+ folks less threatening than us cis hets, as I’m sure most of you appreciate better than I do!
Compatible people
Tidy and clean but not obsessively so. Happy to share the odd meal, but doesn’t steal my food (I’m on a very tight budget). Loves dogs and can introduce me back into some fun night scenes 😊
Food sharing and furniture
I’m starting back from scratch so no furniture to speak of I’m afraid. I have a chair, some bedroom items (shelves, drawers etc but can purchase my own bed). I am a meat eater but seldom can afford it ( but when I can I cook an awesome Sunday roast). Happy to share vegetarian meals but I can’t give up my dairy (eggs and cheese are my weakness)
Description of pets
Cocoa is a very affectionate little 3.4kg who happily lives among cats, dogs and rabbits while completely ignoring them. She loves people. Gregory Peck is a baby still and can be noisy, but silent between 8pm and 8am getting his 12 hours sleep. He loves fruit and almonds.
