Hello! I’m a 42 year old who has recently moved back to Melbourne after living in Canberra. I have short term accommodation sorted until end of March/April, while I hunt for something. I work remotely (from home) as a Brand & Marketing Manager, so I’m looking for a room that is big enough for a desk and heating/cooling if staying long term. I work hard but also enjoy reading, hiking, Pilates, music, art, comedy, travel and going out for good food. I’d like to be able to have people over in my space (bedroom), but I don’t often socialise at home. It’d be nice if there’s an ensuite, but I’m very happy to share and don’t spend a lot of time in the bathroom. I don’t cook at home often as I’m on a meal plan five days a week and tend to eat out for the rest, I’d just need access to a shelf in the fridge and a microwave. I am a ambivert- love a chat and a hang when it’s welcome, but equally happy to have alone time. I’m mostly a very open minded, amiable, relaxed person. I appreciate good communication and good humour. I’ll often be out at night and weekends for gigs, exhibitions, theatre, workshops and catching up with friends. Important personal qualities
I am a ambivert- love a chat and a hang when it’s welcome, but equally happy to have alone time. I’ll often be out at night/weekends for hobbies/creative, gigs or catching up with friends. II travel interstate for work and other reasons at least once week a month (sometimes more). I’m financially stable and house trained. I used to live in a house with 8 people so I know how important it is to do your fair share!
Food sharing and furniture
I arrange my own food (I don’t cook often) but don’t mind cooking together once in a while! Prefer my room unfurnished if long term stay but flexible. Happy to provide or buy furniture or appliances for shared spaces if required but not planning on bringing anything other than bedroom furniture unless it’s required, as I have free storage in my dad’s aeroplane hanger in Holbrook.
