About this person
Hello
My name is Nigel Gwashure, and I am a 28-year-old from Zimbabwe. I recently earned my master's degree in social work, which I pursued with a passion for helping others and addressing social issues within communities. As I actively search for a position in my field, I'm gaining valuable experience working in the hospitality sector in Southbank and Flemington. My current role involves juggling over 38 hours of work each week, with a flexible schedule tailored to my availability, making each week both dynamic and challenging.

Outside of work, I prioritize my health and wellness by regularly going to the gym, where I enjoy keeping fit and staying active. I also have a deep appreciation for film and love watching movies across various genres, offering a perfect escape after a long day. While I am naturally an easy-going extrovert who thrives in social situations, I equally value my downtime and cherish moments of relaxation, which help me recharge for new experiences. Balancing my professional aspirations with personal interests is important to me as I navigate this exciting chapter in my life.
Important personal qualities
I'm looking for housemates who genuinely appreciate cleanliness and make an effort to tidy up after themselves regularly. It’s important to me that we foster an environment of respect and honesty, where open communication is the norm. I value open-minded individuals who are willing to consider different perspectives and engage in meaningful discussions. Cooperation is key; I hope to share responsibilities and create a harmonious living situation. Above all, I’d love to live with people who bring warmth and positivity into the house, making it a fun and inviting space for everyone.
Food sharing and furniture
My first preference is to prepare and enjoy my own meals, as I find it gives me a sense of independence and control over my diet. However, I am open to the idea of sharing meals occasionally for social interactions and to explore different cuisines together. It’s worth noting that I am neither a vegetarian nor a vegan, so I have a diverse palate and enjoy a variety of dishes. Additionally, I currently do not have any living room furniture, which means my space is quite minimalist, giving me the freedom to arrange it as I see fit in the future.
