About this person
Hi I'm Kayla (she/they). I'm 28 and work in customer service in a standard 9-5, but would like to transition into community services work this year.
I have a 7 year old cat who can be indoor or outdoor, his name is Pi and he's very friendly and chill. He has lived with other pets (cats and dogs) in the past.
I'm pretty independent, though I'm more than happy to have a chat, and even do some household arts and crafts if that's the vibe 🎨
I tend to do my socialising at gigs, enjoy a craft beer or two, but prefer my home to be a place of rest so not looking for a crazy party house.
I'm an omnivore. I'm not a smoker (unless tipsy) or a toker 🙅🏻♀️🍃 but am ok with others getting on it so long as it's not in the house.
I am metalhead, a bit of a nerd, and a (sort of) creative.
Looking to move generally, but not in a mad rush to do so. Please message if you think we'd be a fit!

Important personal qualities
I'd love to find a sharehouse with like-minded housemates who appreciate a clean and tidy home, the ability to communicate openly and kindly, and have some shared interests/values.
If I could find other people who care about social issues and enjoy going to local gigs I'd be stoked, but it takes all sorts to make up this world!
I can be a bit of a night owl, but that is easily confined to microwaving a midnight snack and watching stuff in my room.

Food sharing and furniture
I prefer to have my own food supply, but am ok with occasionally doing group meals.
I am omnivorous but can and do cook vegetarian and vegan meals when I can, though I do have some FODMAP intolerances.
I have some furniture, but most is for my bedroom, and I'm open to getting rid of it. My only living room furniture is two mustard yellow ornate armchairs. I do have a chest freezer I'm mildly attached to though.

Description of pets
Pi is a sweetheart, but can be a bit anxious without someone to love up on him if he's alone inside a house.
If he's allowed outside he's completely nonplussed and will happily talk to you when he sees you, and try con you into filling his bowl.
I tend to use an autofeeder for him, and have a box-style litter box for him to reduce litter mess and odour.
He has lived with both cats and dogs in the past, and is a bit of a suck for a strong woman (cat or dog) who can boss him around.
