I am an American teacher of French moving to Melbourne on a Working Holiday Visa. I do my best to be a clean courteous housemate. I enjoy cooking on a night in as much as a night out and am hoping to soak up as much of Melbourne as I can while I'm there.
Important personal qualities
I think that communication, flexibility and empathy make for great flatmates. I enjoy living with all sorts of people, especially those who are interested in the occasional chat or communal meal. Although sometimes after a day spent talking to secondary students, I need time to relax and recharge.
Food sharing and furniture
I have no dietary restriction and don't mind shopping for essentials as a house (i.e. flour or coffee). Perhaps unsurprisingly as an American, I am coming without furniture.
