About this person
Hey there!

I'm Ayushi, 29, and super excited to be moving to Melbourne for my PhD at Monash University (Clayton campus) as part of the IITB-Monash Joint Program. My weekdays will mostly be spent in the lab—usually from 8 AM to 7 PM (subject to variation).
Outside of work, I’m all about keeping active—yoga, gym sessions, Zumba, running, and I’m even learning to swim these days! I’ve also gotten into reading recently and love winding down with a good book and a cup of chai!
I’m vegetarian (no eggs) and usually cook my meals at home. I like to keep things clean and tidy—especially in shared spaces like the kitchen and bathroom.
I’ll be moving in solo on 30th July and would prefer an all-female space. Ideally, I’m hoping for a shared apartment with enough bathrooms so no one’s stuck waiting in line before work.
On weekdays, I prefer quiet evenings to recharge, but I’m always up for exploring the city and doing a bit of sightseeing or fun outings on the weekends!
Looking forward to meeting some lovely flat mates and finding a place that feels like home!
Important personal qualities
Cleanliness is a non-negotiable for me. I really appreciate flatmates who are mindful of keeping shared spaces like the kitchen and bathroom clean—wiping down surfaces, keeping the sink tidy (and not using it for brushing teeth!), and using appliances responsibly.

I also value a calm and respectful atmosphere, especially during late hours after work. A little post-work chit-chat is always nice and refreshing, but I do prefer quiet nights on weekdays to unwind.

Beyond that, I’m easygoing and open to learning new things—whether it’s a recipe, a cultural tradition, or just a new way of looking at life!
Food sharing and furniture
I prefer arranging my own meals as I’m a vegetarian (no eggs) and mostly cook Indian food. That said, I’m always open to trying other vegetarian dishes from different cuisines—it’s a great way to connect and learn! I think baking could be a fun place to start sharing and experimenting together.

I don’t have any living room furniture, so a semi-furnished or fully furnished space would be ideal.
