Hello! My name is Meghan and I am a 23-year old English as an Additional language instructor from Vancouver, Canada. I have just been granted my working holiday visa and I will be arriving in Melbourne by February 6th, 2026. My move-in times are flexible, as I have friends who I can stay with when I land. Ideally, I'd like to have house inspection meetings set up before I arrive. I am clean, tree-hugging, respectful, and have very positive renting experiences. I also love to cook, garden, practice yoga, and meet new people. I am looking forward to exploring all that Melbourne has to offer. My budget is around $300 per week including utilities. This is my first time looking for a place to live outside of Canada and I am excited to be intentional about choosing a sustainable, open place to live with like-minded folks in a big city!

I am a very social person but I also deeply understand the need for personal downtime. I’m willing to follow my flatmate’s lead when it comes to social time at home. I’m easygoing and down to share recipes, find a good movie to watch, and dance in the kitchen to our favourite tunes! But I am also just as happy for a nod and smile before going seperate ways or being like happy ships passing in the night :)

Food sharing and furniture
I prefer to cook all my own meals but I am always down to share. I kinda go off the rule of big stuff (flour, oil, spices, toilet paper, paper towel, etc.) being shared and taking turns buying, with more personal/daily use ingredients (milk, eggs, leftovers, etc.) being discussed and/or replaced when used :)
