I’m Alex, 26 from Cork Ireland🇮🇪. Spent the last several years in Perth WA, moving to Melbourne for a year (for now) in early February. I will be studying an arts course at Melbourne Polytechnic starting late February. Grew up on a farm back in Ireland and was always around animals so happy to live somewhere with pets and help out if needed. Pretty sporty and will probably be joining some form of sports club when I move. Other then that I’m pretty social but only know a small few people in Melbourne so I doubt I will have many people over.
Important personal qualities
If someone is willing I’d love to have a housemate who is happy to explore Melbourne with me as I’ve never been yet. Completely understand if that isn’t your cup of tea however. I’m open and willing to do communal meals on the weekends if people are up for that. In my current accommodation we do a big Sunday roast every two weeks with everyone chipping in with different tasks.
Food sharing and furniture
I have lived in boarding school and with several flatmates over the years and have done both the shared food situation or personal stashes. I’m pretty easy with both as long as everyone knows at the start there is never any issues. I won’t be bringing much furniture with me when I move (little to none). So I may ask for help in regards to sourcing some of you are a local. I have no dietary restrictions or allergies and was vegetarian for a few years so able to bend my diet around others if needed.
