A good flat mate is friendly and social when need be as well as respectful and understanding. Can compromise and also speak up and obviously tidy and clean especially in shared areas.
Food sharing and furniture
Agreed upon food and meals is obviously happily shared otherwise personal items and food are off limits. But that kind of stuff is also very situational I think.
