About this person
Hi, I’m Jamie (he/him), 35. I’m a working professional in the creative/tech space and I’m relocating to Melbourne for a full-time role at the University of Melbourne. You can see the kind of work I do here: https://aisjam.com.au/

I’m very routine-based with a stable 9–5 schedule, an early rise, and I keep things quiet, I’m usually in bed around 9–10pm. I’m respectful in shared spaces and easy to live with.

I’m keen to explore Melbourne and get out more, but I’m also a bit of a homebody. In my downtime I like making things, and I’m looking forward to joining a lapidary club, MESS, and the University’s maker/creator spaces.
Compatible people
I am looking to move down in Mid March I’m a creative person who enjoys a good conversation, but I’m also comfortable keeping to myself and I respect other people’s boundaries and space. I love a proper craft day and sharing my skills so would like to find like minded creatives, and I’m practical around the house too. I can handle minor repairs, fix small issues, and I’ve got a bit of a green thumb.

I don’t drink or do drugs. I don’t have any pets or a car, but I’m more than happy to live in a house with pets. And I’m reliable with the important stuff. I pay rent and bills on time, every time. I’ve lived by myself in the regions for years, so I’m very “house trained”. I like to keep tidy, considerate in shared areas, and I’m happy to contribute to the household and help keep things running smoothly.
Food sharing and furniture
I do enjoy cooking for others, and I mostly meal prep for myself. Depending on dietary requirements and how everyone likes to contribute, we can organise something that works for the household.

I’m relocating from Rockhampton, so I’ll be travelling light with just suitcases to start with, with the plan to move my equipment over later once I’m settled. I might be a little rusty living with other people after being on my own for a while. But I’m easygoing and very open to dialogue, so if anything comes up, just let me know and I’ll adjust.

I’m hoping to find stability in Melbourne, either by eventually finding a place of my own or by contributing to a respectful, creative household.
