About this person
Hey, I’m Tom, 36 👋

I’ve recently returned from two years of travelling through South America and Europe and am now settling back into Melbourne. I’m working as a Graduate Architect in the CBD and looking for a place that feels like home rather than just somewhere to sleep.

I’ve lived in share houses for several years, so I understand the balance of shared living. I’m clean, tidy and respectful of people’s space, but I also enjoy a social household, up for a beer or two, a movie night, or cooking a good dinner together now and then. I enjoy cooking and am always happy to share.

I used to be big into climbing, and while I don’t climb as much these days, I’m currently enjoying a solid gym routine and getting back into a good rhythm during the week.

Ideally I’m looking for a relaxed, considerate household with good communication and a positive vibe. Happy to chat and see if it feels like a good fit 🙂
Compatible people
For me, a good flatmate is someone who is easygoing, clean and respectful of shared spaces. I really value open communication and being mindful of each other’s routines and personal space.

Ideally, I’d love to live with someone down to earth who’s happy to hang out now and then, whether that’s sharing a meal, watching something, or having a casual drink. But there’s absolutely no pressure. I’m also very independent and keep busy during the week and on weekends catching up with family and friends or heading to the gym.

At the end of the day, it would just be nice to live with someone I genuinely get along with and could consider a friend, while still respecting each other’s space.
Food sharing and furniture
I’m happy to share basic staples like oil, spices and pantry essentials. I’d mostly cook independently during the week, but I’m definitely keen to sharing a meal now and then. I’m vegetarian, though I don’t mind what others eat.

I have a queen bed and everything I need for my room, but I don’t have furniture for common areas. I do have a decent collection of plants though, happy to bring a bit of greenery into the space if there’s room 🌿
