Hi! I am a fun and respectful 40yo (41 very soon!) queer human, and have just returned to Naarm/Melbourne after living a full life on beautiful Larrakia land in Garramilla/Darwin. I grew up in regional Vic, have travelled overseas a lot and have previously spent 11 years in Naarm, so I know my way around and have existing communities here.

I am a performer/arts facilitator and and work a combination of days from home and in Footscray at an arts/education organisation with children. I love swimming, hiking, costume creation, the occasional beer and the great outdoors en general, plus seeing theatre and catching up with mates on the weekends. I like to laugh, and I'm also a good listener and direct communicator, and I am always open to discuss house issues in a mature way.

I'm looking for a place where other humans like to connect (I prefer not to just be ships in the night), more of a "home" than just a house. Although I fully respect people's privacy, I really enjoy sharing meals and chats when folk are around, and cooking for and with others. My absolute ideal is for some version of communal cooking (promise it's not as scary or cumbersome as it sounds!) I have made most of my best mates through share-housing, and I like that vibe. I also make a mean pizza and come with a projector for those wintery nights in!

I am an environmentalist, and minimal impact living is important to me, as are many social justice issues. I am politically left-leaning, and politics imbues my world and worldview.

I have lived in many sharehouses over the years, and comply with all the regular responsible communal living business, am a tidy house member and pay my rent on time. I can provide some rad references if you need.

My absolute ideal is for some version of communal cooking (if that's not your history, promise it's not as scary or cumbersome as it sounds!) I am a batch-cooker at heart, and love making nutritious vegetarian and vegan foods (I am technically pescatarian, and don't mind if other housemates eat meat). I have very little furniture (i.e nothing!), and can't really add a lot to a household in that way, however, I come with a projector for those wintery nights in! Ideally I'd love a furnished bedroom, but I can source those things if needed.
