Hello,
We are Amina and Jasmine, two friends who met studying psychology in the Netherlands. We are 20 years old; Jasmine is Turkish and Irish, and Amina is French and Canadian. Having finished our degrees, we decided to go on a gap year together, during which we will be in Melbourne on a work-holiday visa. We will be working in service/hospitality during our stay.
We have both been renters throughout our bachelor's and have had experience managing a household. Paying rent promptly, cleanliness and clear communication with landlords are a given. We've also each had roommates throughout university and know the importance of being adaptable and empathetic.
We are looking for a warm environment to feel at home in when we'll be so far from our own. We are looking forward to discovering an entirely new hemisphere. We love doing fun activities with friends (and roommates!), often accompanied by good drinks and food. Painting, crochet, crafts, you name it.

Compatible people
We are hoping to find either the opportunity to move into a two bedroom apartment together, or into the same, larger house share. In the case of the latter, we are hoping to find people to can get along with, it makes living together so much easier. We think being open and transparent about boundaries is important so everyone can both have their space and feel like they're part of a warm home. While we have both lived with plenty of people compatibly, it's most fun when we can get on well as friends. That being said, we are friendly and sociable, so get on comfortably with anyone.
Food sharing and furniture
We became friends by cooking together and the habit stuck. We are both happy to share meals with co-habs as well as enjoying individual meals which are essential. As for furniture, since we are moving from Europe, we have none.
