Gday, I’m 44years old relocating from regional vic. I’m a student and I do have an income at the moment. I like my quiet time but also don’t mind chatting or going out with others. I respect others within a household and try to keep noise to a minimum to not disturb others. I love cooking for others and myself, I have a car so a parking spot would be preferred. I can get along with almost everyone, I love a good board game or a game of chess. Don’t drink but I do vape or the occasional cigarette.

I don’t like arguing and I tend not to just walk away until everyone is calm and things can be calmly discussed. I prefer open communication between everyone so no confusion happens. I respect everyone’s beliefs and am non judgmental as how can I judge someone else’s when I don’t live their life. I do my fair share of household chores and probably more and always pay my bills on time as I hate owning ppl money and I never ask people to loan money as if I can’t afford something then I don’t need it. I like people who respect my boundaries and I respect their boundaries to.

I am open to discuss this further with the appropriate housemate when the time comes. I don’t mind sharing food or common food items with others. I love cooking a feast and sharing with others. If I buy specific items of food for myself then I am happy to keep these items in my room so disagreement don’t occur. I don’t get angry if a mutual agreement has been made to share food and everyone is contributing to the shopping. We all live under the same roof so we all need to get along. One way or the other.

I do have my own bedroom furniture and I do also have my own lounge room furniture however not much lounge room furniture. A few old pieces of furniture for items to be stored in, a small couch and a large tv. I more so have my own cooking equipment as I love to cook and bake and I come alive within the kitchen when I am creating something special to eat for all to enjoy.

I have a almost 7 year old female desexed shar pei. She has a very gentle nature and is actually very lazy but for me provides me with great comfort and extra security at night time. Making it easier for me to sleep. She is excellent at hunting and catching mice, but she doesn’t eat them, she often brings them or leaves them at the back door as a gift for me. Her reward is her favourite toy.

I am in the process of trying to get my other dog a Moodle back as he is an older boy also desexed but more a security blanket for my shar pei. A weird combination

I have some pet birds.

A rescue galah - when I got him he was terrified of everyone. He has a broken collar bone and will never fly again. He is now fully hand tame. Very quiet. Whispers only. Is great friends with my shar pei. I often find him trying to feed her, her dry food which she then goes to eat.

I have a younger male galah who is emotionally attached to the older galah and he has feet deformities but is an absolute clown and character and currently learning how to talk.

I have a pair of conures - a type of parrots. Some years I breed them and hand rear the young and sell them

I think I have just lost my alexandrine to a very good friend of mine as he prefers her over me… so you win some and you lose some. As long as the bird is happy then I am happy

I care for my birds very much and they all get out of cage time every day and clean cages all the time and fresh food and water daily and my animals are my responsibility not anyone else’s.
