About this person
Plse note my move in date is 30 days after I find a new place. I have to give 30 days notice at my current renta
I’m looking for a real home—not just a place to sleep. A space with mutual respect, a warm vibe, and the option to share a chat over dinner or Netflix from time to time, while still having the freedom to do our own thing. If you’re more independent, that’s fine—what matters to me is positive, friendly communication and a relaxed, respectful dynamic.
I cook for myself mostly though am happy to share a meal occasionally if the vibe fits and vice versa. Either way, I am not fussed. I love cooking hello fresh meals so if you want to go halves and we take turns cooking then I’m happy to do something like this also and have a couple of nights off for take outs kind of thing. All good if you don’t, I am not fussed either way.
I work full-time from home at Medibank and live with two indoor cats - one is affectionate and one is shy. They’re clean, well-behaved, and loved. I am open to living with dogs, provided they’re very calm and have experience living with and are good with cats.
The safety of my cats is a top priority, so I’m after someone who understands the importance of things like closing the front door securely and being mindful about cat safety, not leaving windows open if no locked in security fly screens on them etc. I use quality litter that’s low-odour and clean it twice daily—or more if needed—so the place stays as fresh as possible. You must love cats, not just tolerate them. I do like to take one of my cats outside on a leash some days and so having a garden or plants about out the back or side of the house or apartment is beneficial to us. We like some greenery for a chillax vibe.
I’m considerate, and believe that good housemates are grownups who talk kindly and openly when needed. I have zero tolerance for passive-aggressiveness of being around controlling people —clear, respectful conversations are key.
I wear cochlear implants (am deaf), which let me hear well enough to work, chat, and binge TV just like the rest of the world only electronically. I watch tv with subtitles and sometimes stream audio directly to my processors, so if I don’t respond, it’s probably like living with someone who has earbuds in—just give me a wave. I’m easygoing about it, and I don’t need special treatment—just someone who’s relaxed and cool with that setup. I have my own tv also.
I do not own a car so needs to be 5 mins walk to Public Transport.

Compatible people
Respectful of personal space and property.
Great with indoor cats including a very shy one and ok with having them live in your space. This also means closing front door and back door behind you so they don’t get outside and being ok with a litter box which I’ll clean regularly. I am using business litter which is fragranced so the cat smell will not be a nuisance. Windows need to have security fly screens as a preference. I like aired out, places so the fly screens allow open windows without cats escaping.
Non judgemental of different personalities and disabilities- aka my cochlear implants and how I hear.
Communicative of needs and nice mannerisms. I am approachable if done in a kind and nice way. If I need to clean a mess I’m not aware of or forgot to do my dishes etc just let me know nicely and I’ll go about cleaning it up and vice versa.
Respectful of others.
Loves cats! - not just tolerate them. Please be gentle with them.

Food sharing and furniture
Am considerate of the shared areas and will clean my dishes in a reasonable time frame - they don’t sit for days on end and I expect the same in return. I love a relatively clean kitchen. Prefer a dishwasher or a double sink where I can let dishes soak and then wash and rinse off in the other sink.
I used to share a space most of my life before living on my own these past 5 years. Am used to doing my part in the cleaning.
I have my own furniture - queen size bed, tall boy and a desk for working from home which I could put in the bedroom if it’s large enough. I prefer large bedrooms but can be flexible around this. If it’s not large enough for the desk to work from home, then I’ll need somewhere I can set it up. If there’s a private space I can put it then great. No fixed desk please as I’ll be using an electronic standing desk.
I have fridge and washing machine and a recliner - storage would be great! **Otherwise if the dynamics seem like a good fit, then I’ll seek to sell these items.
I have one small cat tree that won’t take up a lot of space, though I’d like to get a bigger one eventually if there’s room.
I have large cat litter box that needs a space - laundry would work brilliantly and a spot to place the cat food is required.
Would be good if I can bring the recliner. It’s a decent size - not small but it’s electric and you’ll probably fall in love with it. It’s relatively new. **If I can’t then I’ll look to sell it or store it if there’s space.

Description of pets
I have two indoor-only cats — clean, toilet-trained, and well-behaved. Celine is a rescue cat and keeps to herself and sleeps a lot. Rocky is Céline’s son he is social, puts up with cuddles. He loves to be in the same room with me though he doesn’t mind other peoples company. I do sometimes take him outside on a harness so if there’s garden area or some bush he can sniff or a car park he can run around in, then this is a plus. He will certainly let you know if he wants something and is quite a character.
