I celebrated my thirtieth birthday last September and still live at home with my parents on my dad’s property in the countryside. Finding a job nearby has been quite challenging, so I think it’s time to consider moving to the city, where I hope to find more opportunities!

I’d love to find a roommate who loves dogs as much as I do- ideally one who’s okay with my adorable dog coming along. I’ve had her since she was a puppy, and now that she’s ten, I couldn’t imagine leaving her behind. I’m also very open about being gay. I tend to feel a bit cautious around straight men I don't know well, so I’d prefer to share with other queer women, gay men, or widowed or divorced straight women. But if we vibe well, I'm open to making an exception. I’d rather not share a place with anyone who has small children- unless they're adults now. I prefer living with someone who's clean, neat, and organised because it really helps me stay that way too. Having grown up with a very tidy mother, I've learned how much a clean environment makes a difference. I also appreciate a smoke-free, vape-free space, and I'd rather not be around recreational drugs or heavy drinking. I don’t judge anyone who drinks occasionally or uses weed now and then, but I personally prefer someone who isn’t into those heavily. Lastly, I’m happy to share my space with people from different cultural or religious backgrounds. Just a heads-up: I’m an openly atheist, so if that’s something that might be a problem, please let me know early on so we can figure things out- no awkward surprises later!

I'm looking for someone who is calm, kind, and keeps things neat. Their place doesn’t need to be perfect, just clean and tidy enough to feel welcoming. If I visit, I always try to be respectful of that. I also hope to connect with someone who loves dogs as much as I do- my 10-year-old labradoodle has been my constant companion. It's important to me that they're okay with me being openly gay and an atheist; I believe mutual respect for each other’s beliefs and opinions is key. I enjoy meaningful conversations and would love to find someone who's happy to chat and share stories. A great sense of humour is a big plus- I love cracking jokes and sharing a good laugh!

I have my own queen-sized bed and a speaker, but if I can’t bring them along, I can always leave them at my parents’ place for safekeeping.

When it comes to food, I don’t have any allergies or specific dietary needs. I enjoy eating chicken, lamb, pork, beef, salmon, and some white fish like flathead. I love vegetables, although I’m a bit pickier about fruit. I do need to be mindful of what I eat since certain foods can upset my stomach, but I’m more than happy to chat about which foods or combinations might be best person.

Mia is a delightful chocolate labradoodle who recently celebrated her 10th birthday! She’s a lively and affectionate senior girl with a heart full of kindness and a cheeky sense of fun. She adores people but can be a bit wary around other animals, as she wasn’t exposed to much socialising when she was younger. I’m happy to have a roommate who can be a bit firm with her, since she has some habits that are a little stubborn to change—probably because my mum was a bit too gentle with her when she was a pup. But Mia is very smart, and I truly believe that with a little patience and a consistent approach, she’ll settle in beautifully to any new home.
