About this person
I am Max, 25, just moved over from the UK at the start of May. I work in sales/recruitment (standard 9-5, mostly in the city) and build AI apps on the side in the evenings. Big into Sports - football is the main one, sadly a Spurs fan, so my weekends can be rough. Plus, I play padel and 5-a-side whenever I can. Outside of that I'm a beach run + long coffee walk kind of person, love cooking decent food, and pretty happy crashing on the sofa with a good film at the end of the day. Easy to live with - clean, considerate and sociable.
Compatible people
A good flatmate is someone who's clean and tidy without being uptight about it - happy to keep shared spaces sorted and pulls their weight without it needing to be a thing. Sociable is a big one too; I'd love to live with people who are up for a beer on the balcony, a Sunday brunch, or heading out to explore Perth together. Active types are my people, whether that's a beach run, a hike, gym, padel, whatever. Equally I really value people who respect downtime and quiet when it's needed - I think the best house/flat is one where you can have a proper laugh together but also happily do your own thing without it being awkward.
Food sharing and furniture
Pretty flexible on all of this honestly - happy to go with whatever the house already has going. I'm a meat eater but cook a lot of veggie stuff too, so no issues either way with what's cooked in shared spaces. Generally I'd lean towards doing my own food shop and cooking my own meals, but always up for a shared dinner, takeaway night, or splitting the cost of like oil, salt, coffee etc. No living room furniture to bring (still pretty fresh off the plane), but happy to chip in towards anything the house needs.
