Hello lovely people 🌿

I’m Jess, from the UK. I’ve been living van life for the past year and a half, and I’m feeling ready for a little winter nesting and some grounded space for a while.

I’ll be leaving the area mid/end of June to head home, so I’m ideally looking to sublet a room short-term, or potentially park up in my van on some beautiful land with access to a kitchen and amenities. Can move in immediately.

I currently work 4 days a week and volunteer out at Julian Rocks another day, so I keep quite a full schedule - and when I’m not working, you’ll usually find me wandering in nature, by the ocean, or tucked away somewhere peaceful with a book.

A bit about me - I’m a bubbly but grounded person, love a good chat but also really value quiet time and space. I’ve got a background in psychology and youth work, and I’m really passionate about wellbeing, nature, and conservation. I’ll be heading back to the UK later this year to start my Masters in conservation & biodiversity.

I’ve lived in plenty of shared homes and hostels over the years, so I’m very considerate, clean, and respectful of shared spaces. I enjoy a calm, harmonious home environment and value open communication.

In my downtime I love arts & crafts (jewellery making specifically), ocean swims/any body of water, and being around big trees and birds as much as possible.

I’d love to be based somewhere in the hinterland - mullum area would be ideal, not too far from Byron due to work - somewhere that feels peaceful, safe, and connected to nature.

Some personal qualities that are important to me are: compassionate, kind, respectful, and can have a laugh!

I’m a vegetarian so prefer to cook my own food, but don’t mind the odd day where we all cook together! I would need a furnished room/ at least a bed as I’ve been living in my van so have no furniture with me.
