Hi all! My current housemate and I are looking to either rent 2 rooms or to connect with for 1-3 more people to set up a new sharehouse lease in Hobart starting beginning of June ☺️
About us:
We currently live in Sandy Bay, and we both moved to Tassie from NSW at the start of the year to study at UTAS.
There’s me, Naomi (F 26) and I am studying a masters of town planning. I enjoy cooking, gardening, surfing, taking lil road trips to go hiking, and live music.
And Ruby (F 29), studies physics and enjoys bouldering, reading, dark-sky photography, and tea 🍵
We also have a cat, currently living with Ruby’s mum in NSW but will be moving in with us later in the year.
To start a new sharehouse: All housemates must be willing to be on the lease, and we’re looking for a 1 year length. We’re currently looking and applying at places, and so would like to connect ASAP (real estate agents tell us they will only consider our application if all house mates are on the lease 🫠). Happy to consider couples.
Would love some friendly people that enjoy hanging out and making a nice community vibe, but also are responsible re cleaning and paying bills/rent on time.
Flexible budget, but we have been looking at places with a $170-$300 p/week per room price point in mind

Food sharing and furniture
I love cooking and baking (although I am celiac, so it’s mostly gluten free). We generally run a pretty chill stuff-sharing situation. Happy to either have shared kitchen goods or individual (although probably prefer sharing staples like oil etc). We also usually share kitchen equipment and utensils. We have a smattering of furniture, but our current place is pre-furnished, so we’d need to get more. Happy to split costs on large communal items or have privately owned stuff. We have no problems sharing any of our furniture, games, appliances with others :)
Description of pets
Ruby has one cat, who will be joining her in TAS toward the end of the year. She has all the details to do a real estate pet application - will get personal details of the cat off her and update
