About this person
I am a 34 year old professional experienced in house sharing. I enjoy my own space but also love to share a meal and talk when the mood strikes. I’m a good cook and like to prepare ‘family’ dinners aka do a big cook-up for friends, but I also cook a lot in general because I'm allergic to the fava bean (soy chickpeas lentils peanuts, etc) so eating packaged food is not an option. I'm a stand-up comedian and an artist. I also run a digital agency and freelance. Most of my stuff is in storage in Melbourne and has been for the last year while I've been floating between places but I am hoping to get settled and get my stuff back. My fur baby is a very placid Cavalier who would prefer belly rubs to a walk but he'll go for the walk if there's a coffee shop at the other end (just like his mum). I'm nuerodivergent so someone who also likes avoiding the big light and can understand that if I need to go hide in my room for a couple of hours that's just me. I'm a big reader and can often be found on a Sunday in bed till noon with a book and a cup of coffee. My start date is flexible.
Important personal qualities
I look for some respect and that's about it. I'm not a morning person so I don't talk much until the coffee kicks in, but I'm pretty easy to get along with. I lived with all kinds of different people over the years and nothing really phases me. I do prefer to keep things very clean and tidy. My favorite trait according to past housemates, besides my love of cooking, is that when I feel stressed I clean cook and garden.
Food sharing and furniture
I'm happy with either. I do have a lot of kitchen stuff because I love to cook and I love to cook for others as well but I'm also happy not to and respect other people's need for space and quiet.
I am an ex-vegetarian, so I respect it, but turns out I'm allergic to fava beans aka soy, chickpeas, and lentils, so I don't eat vegetarian anymore but I still cook on the vegetable-heavy side.
If I get my stuff out of storage I have a top of the line coffee machine, thermomix and some top of the line frypans and baking dishes, knife block... those kinds of things which I would love to share with the house but can just as easily go/ stay in storage.
Ditto my Vinyl collection, love to bring it but if we don't have the space so be it. But if you like music I have a little of everything.
No living room furniture at the moment. Just bed and a desk sitting in a storage box in Melbourne. I do have top of the line energy efficient dryer so if we have space for that, that would be great. I also have a Miele Vacuum and a Koh Mop for clean floors.

Description of pets
Bongo is a little rescue baby, born with a cleft palate as the runt of the litter. He's so quiet mostly people forget he's there until he nudges your leg for a pat. He thinks he can't jump so he never gets up on furniture without permission... unless you have pizza, then he magically figures it out. He does shed a bit but I brush him regularly and vacuum regularly to offset this. He loves a walk but prefers a cuddle. He is a bit food obsessed but we're working on it. I don't expect my housemates to do anything towards his care, I walk him, feed him etc. So you just get the cuddles.
