I'm Alan, and I'm about to start a master's degree at the University of Sydney. I’m also on the lookout for full-time work. I’ve lived in Canberra before and have some experience working with the Australian Public Service. When I’m not working, I’m usually out taking photos, checking out new coffee spots, reading or listening to some good music.

For me, a good flatmate is someone who can balance being respectful and independent, but also open to hanging out or doing things together now and then. I’m pretty flexible and laid-back, so I appreciate someone who's easygoing and doesn't sweat the small stuff.

Food sharing and furniture
When it comes to food, I’ll be at uni a lot, so I’ll mostly be using meal plan services like HelloFresh. That means I won’t be taking up much space in the fridge or pantry, so you’ll have plenty of room for your own groceries, and we won’t need to coordinate shopping or meal planning. Of course, I’m always happy to share a meal or try something you’ve cooked if you’re up for it!
As for furniture, I’m keeping things pretty minimal, so I won’t be bringing much with me. I’m happy to chat about how we can furnish the shared spaces—maybe we can combine what we have or pick out some new pieces that work for both of us.
