To me, a good flatmate is someone who’s open to meeting new people, respectful of shared spaces, and keeps things clean and tidy. I think it’s important to have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at home, where everyone feels comfortable. Being honest, considerate, and open to communication also goes a long way.
Food sharing and furniture
I’m happy to cook and share meals with flatmates from time to time – I think it can be a nice way to connect. But I’m also totally fine with keeping food separate and doing my own thing. I’m flexible and just go with what works best for everyone.
