Personal introduction
Hi! I am Sarah đź‘‹
A german girl in my early 30s who decided that office life wasn’t exciting enough — so I quit my job, packed my bags and moved to Australia. I arrived in early November, and started my adventures in Sydney.
I used to work together with my good friend Danie, who joined me for a while on my travels, in the same company back in Germany and somehow thought: “You know what would be a great idea? Moving to the other side of the world together.” Zero regrets so far.
I worked in a lovely Italian restaurant in Sydney (food runner), and currently live in Newmarket doing some petsitting. In Sydney I shared a nice house with Kate (my new australian big sister), two dogs and a cat and catsit an old boy in another apartment. I also lived in Melbourne for two weeks and did petsits there and a few in Brisbane. Now I would like to move closer to the center of Brisbane to be closer to my work.
I work in Hospitality in Brisbane, in the restaurant Southside to be specific, so the closer to Brisbane, the better for me.
I own my own apartment in Germany, so yes: I know how to clean, respect shared spaces, pay rent on time and actually communicate like an adult. I’ve lived with flatmates before and genuinely enjoy shared living.
I love cooking (and often cook for others), enjoy a healthy balance of me-time and social time, and am always up for a glass of wine, a movie night or a relaxed chat after work.
My passion is Live Action Roleplay, which makes me creative, open-minded and pretty social. I am into theatre, acting, DIY, costume-making and creative writing — but don’t worry, I don’t practice dramatic monologues in the kitchen (unless requested).
Big animal lover here — I have been a proud temporary parent for Kate's two dogs and cat and old catboy Nana, also for two adorable Maincoon boys in Melbourne and two dogs, a cat and three chickens in Ipswich.
In my free time you’ll find me at the beach, swimming, exploring the city or happily accepting recommendations for good food, bars and fun things to do.
In short: clean, friendly, creative, animal-loving roommate who knows how to live together and bring good vibes — and occasionally pasta.

Compatible people
I love a clean, tidy home and know how to get to that. I also love to cook (especially for other people) and have a lot of funny, exciting and fantastic stories to tell you while we enjoy a nice dinner.
Food sharing and furniture
I have no furniture, just backpacks and luggage in my car. I am neither vegetarian nor vegan, but I like to try new food and eat less meat so if you have nice recipes I am happy to try them. I would prefer to have my own groceries but if we share the costs we can also share the food.
