Hi, I’m looking for a room in a share house around Newtown, as I’ll be moving to Sydney from early March for a placement at Diverse Art Therapy in Newtown.
A bit about me: I’m originally from Taiwan and currently studying a Master’s in Creative Arts Therapy. I’m pretty calm, grounded, and easy to live with. I’m clean and tidy in shared spaces, respectful of people’s routines, and I value open communication at home. I really like a place that feels comfortable and safe, not just somewhere to sleep.
Outside of uni work and placement prep, I’m quite routine-based. I lift around five days a week, and at home I like cooking, reading, and keeping my space tidy. I’m not a party person, but I do enjoy having a friend over occasionally for a meal or a quiet drink. My perfect weekend is a good coffee and a good conversation.
Ideally I’m looking around Newtown, Enmore, Erskineville, Marrickville, Stanmore, or Alexandria. Budget is up to $350 pw (a bit flexible for the right place). I’m hoping to move in from 3 March, and would prefer something longer-term if possible.
I don’t smoke and don’t have pets (but I’m happy living with them). An LGBTQ+ friendly household is important to me.
