Hi! My name is Renée and although I am not currently working due to my health, I do have a regular income plus savings which I can provide evidence of along with my most recent six year’s worth of rental ledgers.

My employment history includes Bunnings for four and a half years, retail (bookshop), residential cleaner, barista/cook, waitress, front of house, both large scale and high end catering management here and in France.

For a few reasons I moved back to Sydney after over a decade away (while I was married and raising my three kids). For the last two years I was living on the Mid North Coast where my parents also live and have been back here since the start of February.

My personality is outgoing, friendly and direct. The fact that I am not working doesn’t mean I will be hanging out at home all day everyday. Since getting my new car mid March I have been going into the city almost every day. When home I keep to myself mostly. Can draw and dance and love music. Will rest a lot while home but very fastidious about cleaning too and also love to cook and (attempt) to bake.

Very easygoing housemate but one request that I do have is: Would you be open to me having my fish tanks in my room? One is only small with one Betta. The tanks are still up north and I’ve been waiting to get them back because they are very important to me. The large one is only 80L but will be replaced with a brand new 200L tank and cabinet on arrival - the aquarium shop delivers it then assists with transferring the fish and plants etc.

So, there would be virtually no risk of any leaking tanks. If there is space in a common area and you are happy to have the big tank there then that is also fine. It is a fully planted community tank with driftwood, caves, a few small fish species, blue dream shrimp, yellow and red shrimp variety from Queensland, two snails (one Mystery, one Nerite) and is very aesthetically pleasing (IMO) so considering it will be a brand new tank with little to no risk of breaking/leaking I am hoping it won’t be an issue to have it at your place.

Having worked in hospitality for so long and especially since becoming a parent a decade ago, I’d definitely categorise myself as a foodie and a competent cook. I’m not vegan or vegetarian and would be happy to share meals sometimes depending on the situation. One of the main reasons I wanted to be back in Sydney is because of the abundance of restaurants and ingredients available compared to rural areas.

Having said that: Due to my medical issues which were acute in late January and have gradually been stabilising since, am very contentious about food, can admit that I’m quite particular and will mostly stick to the carnivore diet because after a lifetime of trial and error that has been the most beneficial for me personally.
