Hello! I’m Alcyon, 19 years old, from Canberra but originally grew up in Sydney. At the moment I live on the Central Coast. I’m an adventurous person with a deep love for nature and spending time outdoors. I find being outdoors to be quite refreshing and it helps boost my productivity & mood. I’m a nice, fun, friendly person who is always down to try new foods and experiences and improve my skills. I’m currently on the hunt for a job in retail/hospo in Sydney and am planning to study a design course at TAFE NSW. I’m a great cook and am happy to help out in the kitchen whether it be for a group meal or meal prepping. I’m clean and resourceful and will ensure I maintain a tidy space. I spend most of my time designing on Adobe software, trying new recipes, or going for a swim at the beach. I’m a very creative person and appreciate having a space to design and create. I enjoy a good group activity and I’m a social person but also respect having some personal down time to be alone and do my own thing.

I’m looking for sociable flatmates who are always down for a yarn and don’t mind having friends over for socialising or studying while still respecting each other's space. I appreciate having an open and honest relationship with my flatmate/s, and want us to express our boundaries and expectations openly with each other. It’s better to speak up than keep your thoughts bottled up so we can resolve any issues cohesively. I’ll always be honest about how I’m feeling and would hope for my flatmates to feel comfortable to do the same so we can be on the same page. A good flatmate will be communicative on their needs and be able to make their expectations clear. I prefer to have a clean shared living space, kitchen and bathroom with a weekly or fortnightly clean, although I’m not extremely fussy. I’d like to be able to play music on my speaker with my roommate in shared spaces or just in my own space. I’m open to listening to your own taste in music as long as I can listen to mine as well ;)
Food sharing and furniture
I have no dietary requirements and am generally not a picky eater at all. I am happy to cook for myself as well as for the group for us to share. I don't mind sharing a household grocery shop that we can just split weekly OR I can shops for myself, I'm not fussed. I love cooking with a mix of all sorts of cuisines such as Indian, Italian, Greek, Mediterranean, Turkish, Japanese and Lebanese. I try to eat healthily where I can but I'm not adamant about it. I have quite a few cooking utensils, pots and pans I’m happy to share (as long as you clean up after yourself). I have my own desk, lamps and bedside table but other than that I don’t have any furniture for shared living spaces. I believe if we need/want a piece of furniture we should discuss it before buying so we can split the cost evenly, otherwise if you buy something for the house/apartment but do not discuss it beforehand, please do not expect me to split the costs.
