About this person
I'm a librarian by trade, but my background is in classical music performance, history, theory and research. I play viola and piano, and sing as well. I'm also a qualified musicologist. So if there's ever a musical analysis emergency in the house, I'm a useful person to have around :)
I'm currently on leave from my job at am academic library, and will be returning to work part time over the next few months.
I'm generally happiest outdoors, especially if there's wildflowers and native birds around. I love cycling and tinkering with my bike. I've recently learned how to keep plants alive and am pretty excited about where this could lead. When I'm indoors, I'll usually be reading, writing, fiddling around with some kind of dorky craft project, hanging with my dogs or noodling on the piano.
I come with two beautiful elderly whippets: 11 year old Lászlo, 11, and Slim, 14. They're perhaps the gentlest, laziest creatures on the planet, and spend most of their time asleep on my couch. Like most sighthound breeds, whippets are remarkably cat-like, as dogs go. They're extremely quiet, relatively independent and reserved in nature, and generally dedicated to the art of sleeping in warm, comfy nooks.

Important personal qualities
I'm a gentle, kind, easygoing, honest, open-minded human. I'm happy to do my own thing most of the time, but am usually up for a chat/drink/hangout of some kind, especially if there's dancing involved. If there's singing involved, I'm already there.
Food sharing and furniture
If needed/wanted, I have some awesome mid century and art deco furniture to add to a household, including 4 bar units of various sizes, my grandparents' 1950s dining table, and a 1970s AWA radiogram. I also have a dryer and small fridge.
